Superdrug Presents Event Goodies!

If you read my Superdrug Presents Event post, you will be aware of the incredible goody bag Superdrug kindly gave to all their guests. Since the event, I have been using and reviewing some of the products gifted to me ranging from body care, makeup, hair and fragrance. This post only includes a few of the products so look out for even more to come! All the products I mention are available from Superdrug both online and in store apart from one!

Starting with the body care products!

Oral-B 3D Coconut Toothpaste £2.48 75ml. My teeth are personally one of my biggest insecurities and I am currently trying new products to see if they can help improve the whiteness. I have never had any whiting treatment done at the dentist but I have always used whiting toothpastes. According to the Superdrug website, this toothpaste "removes up to 100% of surface stains in just three days and a whiter and brighter smile in less than a week". I personally couldn't see a difference in the first couple of weeks but I am slowly seeing the difference now! I have however noticed my teeth after using this product from the very beginning are constantly shiny and smooth which I haven't found when using another toothpastes. Oral-B decided to add coconut oil into this toothpaste formula because the oil helps fight and attack harmful bacterias including, bad breath, gum disease and tooth decay! I am considering trying whiting strips along with the toothpaste to hopefully see a greater difference in the whiteness and brightness. If you have any recommendations, they would be appreciated. Lastly, I wasn't sure on the taste of the toothpaste especially because of it containing coconut but I am now used to the favour and find it very refreshing and clean!

Dove Pink Limited Edition Antiperspirant £4.19 250ml.

This limited edition antiperspirant is apart of Dove's #ARMSUP campaign and each can has a different message to help empower and impact women's confidence around their underarms! I normally use roll-on antiperspirants but this is now my favourite. I find it very moisturising and this is due to it containing moisturising cream. It also gives "48 hour protection against sweat and odour" which I can agree with, maybe not 48 hours due to showering but I haven't had a problem since changing to this product! I also haven't found white stains on my clothing since I changed from roll-on's which is a huge plus! The antiperspirant has a floral fragrance from blends of white flowers, magnolia and lilies. It is also alcohol free which makes it gentle! I have now been converted to spray antiperspirants!

Nivea Body Mousse Moisturiser Cucumber and Matcha Tea £3.99 200ml.

Now this moisturiser has been a game changer as I normally hate the process of applying and having to constantly rub moisturisers in and wait for them absorb in, leaving that horrible sticky feeling. Nivea have designed this product for easy application and fast absorbing which I completely agree with, however you only need a small amount each time else you may feel sticky and the product isn't absorbing well enough. I have done this a few times but when I apply a small amount, I have found this product to be my go-to as its quick and easy but I also love the "fresh skin sensation" it leaves on your skin. The scent is very clean and fresh and I absolutely love cucumbers so this product completely won me over. I have a feeling this could be an amazing product during Summer, especially while away on a sunny beach holiday. While writing this post, I had perviously applied the product and I can't feel it at all. (You know the sticky feeling some moisturisers leave your skin feeling) this product doesn't do this! It just simply leaves your skin smooth and soft. Plus, the scent stays and smells amazing!

Next are some makeup products.

Kiss Lash Couture Naked Drama - Organza £7.99

Since going to the Superdrug event, I have had the inspiration of playing around with makeup and each time I do a glam look for either day/evening wear, meals or night outs, I have been wearing these lashes non-stop. I have found that each time I have worn them, I have received so many compliments! They average for around 10 wears but I am hoping I could get some more due to the cleaning and care process I do after each removal. The only other brand of eyelashes I have used is Eylure but these are now my personal favourites! They are so easy to apply, stay on tight which I think is due to the adhesive included and they are cruelty free! I used to hate the process of applying lashes but these have been a complete game changer and I couldn't recommend them more! I did receive another pair in the goody bag which I am yet to try but looking forward to wearing them if they are just like this pair! I am also intrigued to try a different brand of adhesive to see if they stay on the same. I will keep you updated on the results.

MUA Burning Embers Eyeshadow Palette. £8.00

Before writing this post, I searched on both the MUA website and the Superdrug website and I was unable to find this palette available but I will keep on checking and update you! Just like the eye lashes, I have not stopped using this palette! There is a mixture of matte and glitter shadows which can be worn on their own or has a multitude as the colours are made to compliment each other! I think this is now a "go-to" palette for me, the shadows are so creamy and easy to apply! I also haven't had to use any form of setting spray to make the shadow "pop" even more, they can do that themselves! I personally think the price point is perfect for the amount of shadows you get and the quality you receive. Again, I was lucky enough to receive another MUA palette which I haven't used yet but I am hopeful it will be the exact same quality. Let me know if you are interested in seeing some of the looks I have put together using this palette.

Rimmel Nail Polish, 60 Second, Double Decker Red £.3.49 8ml.

While writing this post, I am still wearing this nail polish and have been for around three weeks. I completely love the colour, especially around this time of year! I personally feel it compliments any outfit but also my skin tone. I have reapplied once each week when wearing this nail polish due to chips but I personally don't use a top coat which I will trial and see how the polish holds up! It also "dries in less than 60 seconds" which I agree but I still tend to wait around 10 minutes just to ensure they are fully dried. I have also found they stay super shiny even without a top coat and after a week's wear! Again, I hated painting my own nails but I didn't want to keep getting gels or acrylics but I am certainly going to invest into some other colours now from the range!

Promise By Jennifer Lopez £23.00 30ml or £43.00 100ml.

In the goody bag, we were all lucky enough to receive the new Jennifer Lopez perfume. Jennifer designed this perfume "around the idea of day to day promises we make to ourselves". It is a floral woody perfume containing notes of fresh fruits from pink berries, nashi pears and Italian tangerines, flowers including, jasmine, orris and dewy honeysuckle and lastly wood from crystallised amber. I love this scent! I tend to wear it for day wear rather than evenings as I feel it is very light and more suited during the day. I also find it stays on your skin or clothing for a long period of time before needing to be reapplied. On the Superdrug website at the moment, if you purchase this perfume, you will receive FREE headphones which is a bonus and great around this time of year!!

Schwarzkopf Got2b Powder'ful Volumizing Styling Powder £3.00.

This is the last product which I have been trying and it is a "revolutionary, weightless formula to create maximum volume at the roots". My hair type can really vary but at the moment it feels very thin when straight but the complete opposite when curly. I have found it has helped lift the roots with a little bit of backcombing and looks more full. To use the product, you place a small amount in the palm, rub them together (you will notice the product has disappeared but you will be able to feel it). You can then run your fingers though the roots to give you maximum volume and fullness. For even more fullness, you can directly apply the product from the pot to the roots and rub in. I still want to put this product to the test to ensure it is really worth using. I will make sure I keep you updated with my thoughts over on my Instagram which I will include "before and after" pictures.

I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts and reviews of some of the products in the Superdrug Presents Event goody bag and I will continue to use the other products in another updated blog post! Let me know if you purchase any of the products and what your views are. Xx
