2019...What a Year it Was!!

I can honestly say I have been so excited to write this blog post. 2019 was a great year for me! So many amazing achievements were made, new friends were made and so many memories were made. Don't get me wrong, there were a few down days but 2019 was a positive and amazing year! So I've decided to do a round up of each season and highlight a few things from each which stood out! I hope you enjoy reading and perhaps you decide to look back on your highlights over 2019 with me! Let's GO!

The start of 2019's Winter...

So for me January and February were two great months! I personally love winter. I love being cosy, wrapping up and all in all drinking as much hot chocolate as possible! Both months were filled with friends and family and doing as much as possible. I went and saw Mary Poppins Returns with my mum and we both absolutely loved the film! Me and my boyfriend decided to go bowling which I actually need to do more often! We even went to Jump Giants which again, I feel I need to do more often, it's honestly always a laugh! I failed at dry January (sorry Molly) but this did mean I was able to have a night out with the girls! However, most importantly from January I attended a close family friends baby shower. The baby shower was adorable! It's great seeing everyone come together to celebrate before the arrival of the little one. We all knew the baby was going to be a girl and of course we did the baby predictions game (my predictions were so far off)!! I absolutely love baby showers!

February had more nights out with the girls, of course Valentines, afternoon tea, a football match in one of the football boxes which I highly recommend if you or know someone who loves football it is a great experience! A game of TopGolf and most importantly meeting baby Hallie! She was born on 24th February and she is absolutely gorgeous! Her personally is fantastic and I can't wait to see her grow over the years!

Spring 2019...

March was very quiet in 2019 but April and May definitely made up for the quiet month! In March I visited Nottingham, done a day of shopping at Westfield with my mum, had another date night and ate so much Indian! Ate more afternoon tea, done a pub quiz, more shopping, ate more Indian for Gina's leaving do and had a drinks evening with my boyfriend, his dad and his dad's girlfriend! It was a great night! I mean who doesn't like drinking at home?! You can sing and dance as much as you like, pour your own drinks, and crawl up to bed when you want! Where's the next round of Baby Guinness's?!

April was full of fun memories, we celebrated my boyfriend's 21st birthday with a meal, a trip to London and drinks over the weekend, another night out with the girls, went to Colchester Zoo for my Godson's Christmas present, I decided to cut my hair short, more drinks and dinners to celebrate Easter and another football match! My boyfriend's 21st birthday was definitely the highlight of April! We had a meal out with his family and we went to London the day after. We walked around all the museums and went for dinner and drinks at The Alchemist! The Alchemist is AMAZING!! I still till this day don't understand how the drinks change flavour, change colour and pour out smoke. If you haven't been, I would highly recommend! The food was great too, we had "chicken in a basket" and it came in a chicken shaped basket!! I was unfortunately really ill but it didn't stop me from having a great time!! May was another great month, of course you don't need me to say it but more nights out and more afternoon tea was eaten! I celebrated one of my best friend's 21st birthday, had some good old family drinks (my family know how to drink, when's the next one?) and celebrated four years with my boyfriend in Brighton! Of course, the highlight for me was Brighton! This was the first time I had ever been to Brighton and I fell in love as soon as we got there. The weather wasn't great but it didn't stop us. We ate Fish and Chips, walked the pier, walked around the lanes (I didn't spot Zoella aha) and got incredibly drunk on 2 for 1 cocktails!! I think we have already decided we are going back to Brighton again this year and I can't wait! Definitely going to pop to the "upside down house" this time and get even more drunk!!

Now for Summer of 2019...

Summer was great. I loved every single month of summer! June had to have been one of the best months of the year. I completed University finishing with the highest grade, completed a charity boat race with Audi, went and saw Toy Story 4 as soon as it came out and absolutely loved it, more drinks we drank and more afternoon tea was eaten! Most importantly from June, I went to Spain, Torremolinos with my boyfriend, his mum and his mum's boyfriend! Torremolinos was incredible even if I did get incredibly sunburnt and couldn't walk or leave the room for two days! I love sitting around the pool, falling asleep in the sun, drinking cocktails, eating ice cream, getting dressed up for every evening, more drinks and even more food! Am I the only one who actually love dressing up on holiday? I feel you can get away with wearing anything no matter the occasion!! July was a very hot month for the UK! The month was full of pub lunches, family drinks, nights out, day drinking, a trip to the seaside, more afternoon tea aha (I think I'm obsessed) and celebrated three birthdays! My Godson's 7th, my cousin's 18th and one of my best friend's 21st!! August did have it's low moments, I had my last day at Audi after four years and was absolutely gutted and boyfriend broke his wrist! However, there were great times including karaoke, seeing my girls, an annual pub crawl, more Pornstar Martini's, plenty of BBQ's and another 21st celebrated!

Autum 2019...

September, October and November were great months. September was a very special month, full of drinking, music, a trip to Thorpe Park, a trip to TopGolf, more afternoon tea, shopping, attended a wedding reception (It Must Be Love) and won tickets to the Superdrug Presents Event in London. Both the wedding and the Superdrug event were my highlights! The wedding reception was beautiful, so much dancing, drinking, sweet carts, photo booth and love!! Of course the Superdrug event was brilliant! I have already written a blog post about the event! Click the link if you are interested in finding out more.

October was full of fun, I celebrated another best friend's birthday up in London, more nights out, celebrated another best friend's birthday with the girls, more games nights, catching up with friends over dinner, saw The Joker in Cinema, of course done some pumpkin craving and most importantly started my blog!! London was great with the girls, we went for a bottomless Brunch at HotBox and I would highly recommend doing brunches for birthdays or just in general! They are so much fun and the drinks definitely do not stop flowing! It felt so weird being drunk early in the afternoon while everyone else was working, we also decided to walk to London Bridge...oh what a great day it was!!

November was birthday month and held so many memories! So many birthdays were celebrated with food and drink, attended fireworks displays, more dinners, more games nights, decided to go back blonde and of course celebrated with my birthday! Sadly in November, we lost Willow! Celebrating my birthday in London was a great highlight. Me and one of my best friend's went to Ballie Ballerson and Winter Wonderland. I again have spoken about my birthday celebrations in another blog post but Ballie Ballerson is fantastic, I would highly recommend to anyone! If you are looking for something different to do in London and love cocktails, pizza and ballpits, well it's the place for you! Of course Winter Wonderland was great too! Who doesn't love Winter Wonderland!!!

The end of Winter 2019...

December in 2019 was the best ever! I honestly had so much fun. I went to Wilshire to see family, Christmas shopping, more drinks, met Hollie who is another cutie and a great addition to the family! More catching up with friends, traditional pre Christmas lunch, more nights out, more games nights and of course celebrating Christmas with my family and my boyfriend's family. So much food was eaten, so much drink was drunk and so many laughs were had! It was definitely one of the best Christmas's I had! Not forgetting celebrating the New Year in with my family and boyfriend! The year definitely ended with a bang!

Thank you SO much to those who made 2019 one of the best years and I can't wait to make more memories and achievements in 2020 with you all! Thank you for your support with starting my blog in 2019 and I hope to make it even bigger in 2020! Happy New Year! Xx
